Hana Khurshid and Steffek Rainey are designers, engineers, and entrepreneurs. Both hold a Master in Design Engineering from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Class of 2026.

Steffek Rainey brings a background in business and design, with a focus on translating products into commercially viable products and ventures.

Together, they are building Preta into a new generation of material platforms that reimagines how carbon moves through the consumer economy, transforming carbon from an environmental liability into a valuable material resource.
